Sonoma Zipline Adventures breaks ground on 40,000 sq ft adventure course with 17 challenge elements, 4 skybridges, 4 traverse elements, and Kids' Net Fun Zone

OCCIDENTAL, CA, UNITED STATES, August 27, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Sonoma Zipline Adventures is pleased to announce the addition of the brand new Redwood Aerial Adventure, anticipated to open Spring 2027. Bonsai Design began construction early June on the course, which will cover 40,000 square feet of forested hillside. The course will utilize a continuous belay system, allowing participants to seamlessly traverse through Bonsai's highly crafted adventure systems. Participants can challenge themselves personally and physically on 17 designer elements, 4 sky bridges, and 4 traverse elements comprising four routes through the course. Bonsai Design's expert layout of the course takes advantage of the unique terrain to allow participants to travel back and forth over the scenic creek and Redwood valley.

It is the goal of Sonoma Zipline Adventures and its parent company Alliance Redwoods Conference Grounds to be able to provide guests with a new way to spend more time in the Redwoods: problem-solving, teambuilding, and enjoying the unique ecosystem. With the introduction of a Kids' Net Fun Zone, the entire family can now enjoy the award-winning thrill of a day at Sonoma Zipline Adventures. Everyone from guest groups, corporate offsites to Outdoor Education class groups will be able to utilize Redwood Aerial Adventure as a part of their stay at Alliance Redwoods.

Participants will begin at an elevated, off-belay adventure deck and be presented with the option of four separate routes through the elements, varying in style and level of difficulty. Three of the routes exit via the primary adventure deck and the fourth starts and finishes at a second level. The most difficult of the routes culminates in an exciting rappel returning participants to the ground. In addition to these routes, there will be an off-belay, netted Kids' Netted Fun Zone reached from beneath the entry deck via a horizontal tube crawl. This Kids' Netted Fun Zone includes four challenge elements and a vertical tube crawl exit.
